Caetano Group was founded in 1946 in Porto, Portugal, as a coachbuilding workshop. It has since grown into an international automotive and mobility group spanning import, retail, industry and mobility services.

Milestones
- 1946
Salvador Fernandes Caetano founds the coachbuilding workshop in Porto that starts the group.
- 1968
Agreement to be the exclusive distributor of Toyota in Portugal.
- 1971
Toyota’s first factory in Europe opens in Ovar, Portugal.
- 2019
CaetanoBus presents the H2.City Gold hydrogen bus.
- 2022
Together with Hedin Mobility Group, the group takes over Renault Nordic AB in Sweden and Denmark.
- 2025
RN Automotive opens its first dealerships in Stockholm.
- 2026
Caetano Group becomes the sole owner of the Renault and Dacia import in Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
